One-on-One Film Festival Consulting Sessions

Film festivals face numerous challenges including operations, governance, programming, marketing, cash and in-kind sponsorship, fundraising, hospitality, projection, venues, strategic partnerships, ticketing, audience development, branding, managing submissions, and establishing a unique identity that will raise your festival’s profile.

We’ve been there.

With over twenty years of hands-on experience presenting film festivals and cultural events, and managing non-profit arts organizations, Gabe and Paula offer practical solutions customized to your event and scaled to conquer the challenges of your organization.

During each half-hour consultation, we’ll listen to your concerns, assess your festival’s key needs and identify areas of opportunity. While this initial conversation cannot provide a full-scale solution, it will lay the foundation for an in-depth post-conference conversation where we can develop strategy, form action plans, or offer on-going advice, guidance and services.

Sponsorship Roundtable Sessions

Every festival seeks sponsors.  These half-hour roundtable sessions give you valuable face time with established film festival sponsors offering an insider’s perspective on what makes their film festival relationships work.  These insights will help you craft pitches and proposals with key phrases that turn brand managers and gatekeepers into partners.

One-on-One Sponsorship Pitch Sessions

Receive constructive feedback on your presentation from a brand manager or gatekeeper of an established film festival sponsor in a fifteen-minute face-to-face pitch session.  (Note: Those looking to participate in One-on-One Sponsorship Sessions MUST first attend a Sponsorship Roundtable Session).

What We Do

The International Film Festival Summit provides programs that drive innovation, educate, and provide a critical understanding of how film festivals play a crucial role in independent film and foster growth in the arts and cinema. We do this though a number of vehicles including: educational workshops, access to industry thought leaders, high level conferences, webinars, focus groups, topic specific committees, and other unique initiatives allowing individuals and organizations access to resources that will enable them to provide the most meaningful and valuable festival experience to all constituents.

Our Approach

  1. Providing Collaboration Opportunities –collaboration with key industry leaders, leading filmmakers, and other innovators addressing best practices and future trends meetings in North America and Europe.
  2. Providing Resources – disseminate knowledge, tools and resources that professionals and organizations can utilize to navigate the artistic, operational and financial aspects of film festivals.
  3. Industry Research – working with industry leaders, professionals, academic institutions and other organizations to provide new ideas and perspectives transforming how film festivals engage the entertainment industry.
  4. Identifying Key Drivers & Distribution Trends – key drivers and trends effecting the distribution of content will continue to impact future innovation and emerging festival models. Fostering dialogue and collaboration with film buyers, sellers and distributors at all levels is an important avenue for festivals to provide unique and valuable programs.
  5. Continuing Education Programs – webinars, seminars, and other partnerships that provide relevant and valuable educational opportunities for individuals, organizations and their employees.
  6. Fostering Innovation – providing open avenues of communication and opportunities for entrepreneurs and technologists to engage film festival stakeholders.
