The Warwick Valley Jazz Festival is taking place August 18 - 21, 2011 at The Courtyard on Railroad Ave., The Village Green, The Dautaj, Coquito NY and Utopian Direction Bookstore in Warwick, New York, in the Hudson Valley.

The 2011 Jazz Festival is a musician-based community event, conceived and produced by local jazz musician Steve Rubin.

The Festival kicks off Thursday with a performance by the David Crone Trio, followed by The NY Swing Exchange and the Skye Jazz Quintet.

Other performances through the weekend are by:

Other events include a charity silent Auction on Saturday and the Warwick Jazz Allstars Brunch on Sunday.

Warwick prides itself on presenting live jazz at several venues around the Village. The Jazz Festival pulls together all of "the working entities under one collective umbrella, The Warwick Valley Jazz Festival. In addition to its direct effect on artists by hiring them, it synthesizes the tourism, local business and community interests."
