LA Go Green Expo

Scheduled for January 22-24, 2010, the 2010 Los Angeles Go Green Expo will be held at the LEED certified Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa Street, South Hall J). This event is a must for anyone interested in learning about environmentally friendly goods and services for use in modern everyday living. Here is a great chance to learn how green alternatives can positively change the way each individual impacts the environment. A small change from each person added together makes a big impact. The event features more than 250 exhibitors, interactive seminars, educational workshops, an eco-film festival and a green marketplace.

Some of Ecollywood's finest will be on hand to speak, including eco-activist Ed Begley Jr. Begley’s television series, Living with Ed, highlights some of the creative and even extreme ways that Begley and his wife, Rachelle Carson, use to go green.

Other speakers scheduled to appear include:

Mariel Hemingway, who will discuss how to live a healthy lifestyle.

A.J. Ali and his wife Jane, founders of the nonprofit Marathon of Miracles (MOM), which operates social network, www.survivorcelebration.com. The organization participates in a wide variety of activities to help survivors and help end cancer.

Fernando Feldman, a veteran builder, designed and built The Go Green Home as a learning laboratory of Green Design.
 
Jackie Newgent, RD, CDN, a well-respected chef, registered dietitian, eco-cuisine expert, and author of Big Green Cookbook.

Alexandra Paul, actress and activist, has served on the board of Plug In America, and has been driving electric cars for 18 years.
