"The Brew that is True" at SCAA Coffee & Tea Show

The 23rd Annual Exposition of the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) is cts-NChobeing held April 28 - May 1, 2011 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

The Event is preceded by a Symposium on April 26-27, at the Hilton-Americas Hotel in Houston. 

The SCAA Exposition is one of the nation’s leading specialty coffee and tea industry trade shows, designed to be the coffee professionals‛ one stop shop for everything needed to succeed in the coffee industry.

Opening Ceremonies are the official beginning of the Event, which varies every year and can be industry speakers, video and entertainment from the Portrait Country, or all of the above and more.

Texas Frightmare Weekend

The fifth annual Texas Frightmare Weekend (TFW) comes to the Sheraton Grtfw-Helldriverand Hotel, Dallas, Texas from April 29 - May 1, 2011, the Southwest's premier horror convention and film festival.

TFW attendees have the exclusive first chance to grab the new issue 2 days early when Rue Morgue premieres issue #111 at the event. Rue Morgue founder/president Rodrigo Gudiño and art designer Gary Pullin will be on hand to sign them for no additional charge.

The Games are On at LA Games

NY Auto Show: 111 Yrs & Still Truckin’

Chevrolet, chevy, Volt, car, alternative, electric, charge, gas, Motor TrendThe 2011 New York International Auto Show parks April 22 - May 1, 2011 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. The premiere launch in 1900 makes this event America’s first auto show, which also attracts the biggest attendance.

The Show is presenting “some of the hottest cars and trucks ever seen all under one roof,” with “more sneak peeks, more brand new '11 & '12 production models and more concept vehicles than ever before.”

This year the show has new hours: Monday through Saturday the show is open until 10pm, with Sundays now going to 7pm.

And there is a lot going on, even for those who don’t fancy themselves motor mavens -- such as having their picture taken with characters from the new Disney movie Cars 2, so they can look like they do.
