The 65th annual National Stationery Show (NSS) runs May 15 - May 18, 2011 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
The National Stationery Show is the premiere market for stationery resources in the United States, presenting more than 1,400 exhibitors and products in five distinctive sections.
The Show draws 14,000 domestic and international retailers representing department, chain and specialty stores, museum shops, gallery and craft retailers, boutiques, stationery, greeting card and gift shops, bookstores, bridal shops, party stores, hospital gift shops, home furnishings stores, specialty office furnishings retailers, floral and garden centers, mass merchandisers catalogs, on-line retailers and TV shopping club, import/export firms, distributors.
The Show also presents excellent educational programming, product demonstrations, engaging events, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities throughout the market week.
The Supply Side division presents finishing specialists, including die-cutting, die-making, foil/hot stamping, embossing, holography, lamination, packaging/box specialists, converters, paper manufacturers, specialty printing/thermography, production machinery, envelope manufacturers, custom displays/fixturing systems and other suppliers.

Put It On Paper: The Importance of Pen and Ink in the Digital Age
The Keynote speaker is Seth Godin, best-selling author and marketing entrepreneur, and founder of Squidoo.com, who discusses the future of the stationery industry in the internet era.
Following the Keynote is a panel discussion The Analog is Mightier than the Digital – Believe It! which focuses on how the synergies of a retailer’s online presence with their brick and mortar business can grow their bottom line.

This year, one of the special features is The Paper Runway, an exhibit demonstrating the paper-fashion relationship, in partnership with premier stationery retailer Kate’s Paperie.
The Paper Runway showcases paper dresses from cutting-edge fashion designers, along with original works created by design students from New York City’s LIM College, who compete for a $1,000 cash prize and Fashion Week window display at Kate’s Paperie.
"The Paper Runway will create a lot of ‛buzz‛ on the Show floor," said Patti Stracher, show manager. "This incredible exhibit will powerfully convey the synergies between these two design-led industries, and surely will inspire new ways to think about the paper-fashion relationship."

The students’ designs will be made from exhibitor-donated product, including paper, giftwrap, ribbon, greeting cards and more. Voting is open to all Show participants through Monday, May 16.
Another special feature is Lifeguard Press‛s launching of colorful Dylan’s Candy Bar products, which will now be available to retail stores. Founded by Dylan Lauren, daughter of legendary fashion icon Ralph Lauren and author Ricky Lauren, Dylan is known to many as the "Candy Queen".
