NY Auto Show 2012 at the Javits Center

dc100 Just like the spring breeze and phalanxes of joggers, the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) returns to the Jacob Javits Center (655 West 34th Street) on April 6th - 15th, 2012. A New York staple for over 100 years, the NYIAS will feature World and New York premieres from top car manufacturers, along with cutting edge, and sometimes bizarre, concept cars.

"Attracting over one million visitors a year, the New York Auto Show is one of the most important automobile consumer events in the world," said Show Chairman John LaSorsa

New cars will debut from such manufacturers as Cadillac, Dodge, and Porsche; more specifically this list also includes:

  • The 2013MY GLK-Class from Mercedes-Benz
  • Chevrolet's more-refined version of the family-friendly Traverse crossover utility vehicle for 2013
  • The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe
  • Acura RDX

Special events include:

  • the LeMay Museum exhibit of classic cars
  • ride-alongs with Jeep
  • Shelby American’s 50th Anniversary Tour and exhibiton
  • private tours
  • the debut of Terrafugia’s Transition Roadable Aircraft (read: flying car really!)
  • autograph sessions with Victoria Sosa
  • the Dub Car Show exhibition of celebrity-owned vehicles

The NYIAS allows consumers the chance to talk to product specialists in an informal and fun atmosphere.

The 2012 Show will provide consumers with the practical information they need to make informed choices. Whether you want to find that new family car, learn about the future of the automotive industry or just look at nicely painted physical manifestations of Freudian urges that go fast, the New York International Auto Show will deliver.
