In this coming year, the Wizard World brand gives birth to its newest offspring -- the Wizard World Portland Comic Con.

The Wizard World Portland Comic Con is a celebration of “the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles and contests.”

Between the cosplay and comics, rabid fans and dream team celebrity panels, Wizard World has solidified itself as one of the biggest producers of annual comic con events for geekery and cinephilia alike. 

Held in the Oregon Convention Center from February 22-24, 2013, the Wizard World Portland Comic Con has a spread of featured guests that will be sure to excite the attention of crowds from around the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

With the likes of legendary film icon Bruce Campbell (The Evil Dead series) and iconic Marvel mastermind Stan Lee, this inaugural event will be packed with celebrity prowess.

TV enthusiasts should catch a peek at performers from two of today’s hottest shows. Fans of The Walking Dead will be able to see the likes of Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker, who play fan favorite brothers Daryl and Merle, while Homeland viewers will have a chance to catch Morena Baccarin, who plays Jessica Brody on the award-winning premium television show.

Other key guests include: 

• Lou Ferringno (The Incredible Hulk)
• Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints)
• David Della Rocco (The Boondock Saints)
• James Masters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer - tv series)
• James Hong (Blade Runner)

The event will also feature a vast line-up of comic and graphic novel artists and authors. From “Iron Man” penner Kaare Andrews to “Uncanny X-Men” creator, Chris Claremont, many living comic legends will be wielding pens and signing their mark for a host of admirers.
