From July 9th to July 11th, 2010, another great rock and roll collectors/fan convention, The Super Mega Show & Comic Fest, took place in East Fairfield, New Jersey. This fun show had all the requisites of such events -- autograph signings, panel discussions and live performances. But what was especially great was the live concert -- the Come Together All Star Jam -- that I attended on the 10th, which included some infrequently seen stars of past era such as the following:

The live performances were refreshing for the memories they stirred and recollection of past glories -- theirs and mine. Terry Sylvester performed The Hollies' classics "Long Cool Women In A Black Dress" and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother." ![Mickey & Mark [photo: B Alexander] Mickey Donlenz and Mark Lindsay](/images/stories/2010/08/dolenz-lindsay.jpg)
Peter Tork and Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees sang "Last Train To Clarksville" and "I'm A Believer" but it was a surprise seeing Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere and The Raiders jump on stage to perform "I'm Not You're Stepping Stone" with Mickey and Peter since both the Raiders and The Monkees had a hit with this song.
The real treat of the night though was hearing and seeing John Walker of The Walker Brothers sing "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore." This was the first time that that song was performed on the East Coast since The Walker Brothers' only US appearance ever was in Hollywood back in 1965.
The sun really shined after that performance!
