Looking to see what will be the upcoming trends in the fast paced world of New York restaurants or a chance to meet your favorite chefs? StarChefs 12th Annual International Chefs Congress, which will be taking place October 22nd to 24th at the Brooklyn Expo Center (72 Noble St., Brookyn NY). Over the three days, chefs will be showcasing new dining trends and discussing challenges and opportunities in the culinary industry.

The culinary symposium and exhibition’s theme this year will be “Cook Your Culture”. Sync Summit is based around making sure that every attendee gets the highest level – and the greatest chances of success in the music for visual/interactive media market. For several years now we have been in what some would consider a “golden age” for television, with many long form shows on the air, and more daring material emerging on streaming services like Netflix. Celebrating both great works in scripted shows and the future to come with more independent and DIY style creators, the inaugural Split Screen Festival (June 2 - 8, 2017) brings together a plethora of guests, screenings and premieres. Held at the IFC Center (323 6th Ave, New York, NY), the festival is curated by one of television's biggest fans, author and critic Matt Zoller Seitz, and is split into four categories:

• Premieres: Get a first look at new series.
• Close-Up: Intimate discussions with actors.
• Showcase: An indepth look at series with discussions by directors, producers, writers, and actors.
• Rewind: A look back at classic moments in television with the people who helped make them.

The Split Screen Festival will include guests from shows such as Better Call Saul, Mr. Robot, Sneaky Pete, Orphan Black, The Sopranos, The Get Down, and more.
