New York Music Month is NYC’s official music festival held every June and kicking things off is the annual NYMM Conference. Presented by the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) and the NYU Steinhardt Music Business Program, the conference opens on June 3 is an in-depth look at NYC’s Music Industry featuring speed talks, panels and fire side chats with more than 40 of New York’s music industry experts.  

Speakers include:

• Benny the Butcher - Artist, President, Black Soprano Family

• Torae Carr - Songwriter / Radio Host / Rapper

• Jem Aswad - Executive Music Editor, Variety

• Nabil Ayers – President, Beggars Group US

• Tatiana Cirisano - VP, Music Strategy, MIDiA Research 

• Mitch Glazier – Chairman & CEO, Recording Industry Association of America

• Taylor Hanson – Musician / Songwriter / Producer / Entrepreneur, HANSON, 3CG Records, Food on The Move

• Ladyfag – Nightlife Impresario, LadyLand Festival & Battle Hymn

• Dre London – Founder & CEO, London ENT, Don Londres Tequila

• Ari Melber - Host of “The Beat with Ari Melber” and MSNBC Chief Legal Correspondent, MSNBC

• Jeremy Sirota – CEO, Merlin

And throughout June are special performances and events throughout the city such as the Sona New York Music Month Block Party on June 7th. Come hang with NYC’s creative community for a day of music, food, and connection. This block party brings together songwriters, composers, and music industry pros for a laid-back afternoon filled with live performances, interactive experiences, and good vibes—all celebrating the role of the arts in shaping the city’s culture and energy. WFUV's "NY Slice" program celebrates and amplifies local musicians from all over the Tri-State area and on June 9th is Radio City: WFUV’s NY Slice Showcase.
