Famous Monsters' Own Imagi-Movies Film Fest

Presented by Famous Monsters of Filmland and organized by Sean Fernald, the Imagi-Movies Film Festival is showing April 8 - 10, 2011 at the Laemmle's Music Hall 3 in Beverly Hills, California, The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu, dir. Henry Slaine

This is a banner year for Monster mavens -- first, this is a new annual festival, and second, it celebrates the legacy of Forrest J "Uncle Forry" Ackerman, America's #1 Sci-fi Fan. In addition, the Festival celebrates The Vincent Price Centennial and Dracula's 80th Anniversary.

In addition to its homage to the imagination of filmmaking, FM will be donating a portion of the weekend's proceeds to the Red Cross to aid in the relief for the victims of the 2011 tsunami in Japan.

The Vincent Price Centennial features two days of celebrity panels led by daughter Victoria Price, director and producer Roger Corman, writer William Goldstein, and filmmaker William Malone, with special screenings of two of Price's acclaimed films: The Masque of the Red Death and The Abominable Dr. Phibes.

Dracula's 80th Anniversary is celebrated with a special print screening of the 1931 film starring Bela Lugosi. A panel precedes the film with special guest speakers Bela Lugosi Jr. and Carla Laemmle

Repo! The Genetic Opera

Stephen King's Dollar Babies
In 1977, King started a policy expressing his love for cinema by granting permission to to young filmmakers to adapt his short stories for a single dollar.

This rare screening of 12 such films includes Disciples of the Crow (from Children of the Corn), Flowers for Norma (from The Man Who Loved Flowers) and Night Surf, as well as an animated adaptation of Home Delivery, which won the International Fantasy Film Award for Best Short Film at Portugal's Fantasporto. Late Bloomer
dir. Craig Macneil
A compelling and humorous short film about 7th grade sex ed class gone horribly wrong. With Lauren Bond, Sam Borenzweig, Torey Marks. An Official Selection at Sundance, the film won the Audience Award at the Lake Placid Film Festival.
