The 29th edition of the PDN PhotoPlus International Conference + Expo is taking place October 27 - 29, 2011 at Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, New York City.

This year, the Wedding and Portrait Photographer's International (WPPI NYC) show will be a part of PhotoPlus Expo (PPE), with a day-long series of wedding and portrait seminars scheduled for October 26.

Between the two Expos, more than 115 seminars including technology, business, wedding/portrait and video, will be presented.

"Our goal each year is to offer a robust selection of educational seminars for attendees.  What we have been able to schedule this year is over the top for our industry," explains Jeff McQuilkin, Director - PDN PhotoPlus International Conference & Expo.

"We continue to expand the topics and curriculum of the seminars based on the changing landscape of photography, but the real success comes from the presenters themselves who simply want to be a part of the experience and share what they know with other attendees."

Quite simply, PDN PhotoPlus International Conference + Expo is the most important event in the photo industry.

Keynote Presentations:

• Jerry Ghionis explains how he uses inspiration outside the wedding industry to influence his creativity and style
• Art Wolfe, Frans Lanting and Thomas Mangelsen, three icons of nature and wildlife, share how photography shapes ideas about our natural world
• Douglas Kirkland, legendary Hollywood portrait and celebrity photographer
• Colin Finlay, one of the world's foremost documentary and environmental photographers, lectures on "Environment"with a combination of three primary media of communication: photography, music and written word.

Test Drive Rally – This new event is an exclusive evening where manufacturers showcase their latest products so attendees can "test drive" dozens of new products, hands-on.

Big Apple Shootout features a dedicated space where select manufacturers will conduct orchestrated interactive presentations with lots of new tips & tricks for attendees.

PDN PhotoPlus Bash + Benefit for Japan Relief blends a celebration of the people, the land and the products of Japan along with a silent Art Auction and Raffle for Relief.

Portfolio Reviews return so artists‛ work can be reviewed by industry leaders.
