The massive Frieze New York art fair returns May 17th to the 21st at The Shed in New York’s scenic Hudson Yard. Featuring over 60 galleries from around the world, Frieze New York showcases up-and-coming talent in the art world. The Focus section focuses on solo artists with an installation by Nan Goldin, new works by Lauren Halsey, and Pamela Rosenkranz’ showcase coinciding with the artist's major commission on New York's High Line.
Other festival exhibitions include the moving image work Liz Magic Laser: Prototype for Convulsive States. Artists Space in collaboration with Frieze will present Genesis: Medley, a performance by multidisciplinary artist, vocalist, and writer Shala Miller. The Artist Plate Project will launch their new series of over 40 limited-edition plates designed by world renowned artists, including Virgil Abloh, Rashid Johnson, Takashi Murakami and Amy Sherald. Frieze New York will mark the first opportunity to purchase the new series, with 75 plates from each edition of 250 reserved for Frieze visitors.
Last year’s Frieze New York sold out, so be sure to grab tickets while you can.
