A New York City tradition, the 37th Annual Ninth Avenue International Food Festival & Street Fair happens the weekend of May 15th & 16th, 2010. Sponsored by Ninth Avenue Association, experience the delightful taste of various cuisines from different counrties like Poland, Italy, Spain, Greece, Japan and many others.
There will be live stage entertainment of international music and dance at 55th Street on Sunday May 16th and there are games and fun activities for the children.
Can't you smell all the delicious food being grilled & cooked in the air? There will be foods from many exquisite countries like Indonesia, Ethiopia and Haiti as well as the well known foods from China, Cuba and so many to name. So many to taste. Need some spice in your life? Try some of the spicy foods the Mexico, India & Japan have to offer. So bring your friends and your appetite and enjoy the festival of foods.
What to Expect
Taking place in this annual event will be Ninth Avenue local merchants serving an array of ethnic foods which are representative of the different cultures in our neighborhood.
• The Shopper in you will be tempted by over 200 individual vendors selling handcrafted jewelry, unique clothing, music, and an array of arts and crafts.
• There will be a childrens' pavilion located between 53rd & 54th St. for the kids to enjoy during the festival.
• Local community organizations groups will be represented along the avenue.
