The
Johnny Cash Festival is being held
March 6, 2010 at the
Secret Theatre in
Long Island City, New York. Casual and hardcore fans alike of the Man In Black have plenty to enjoy in this multimedia event:
From 7-8 p.m., author
Antonino D'Ambrosio will do a book signing and live reading from his new biography,
A Heartbeat and a Guitar: Johnny Cash and the Making of Bitter Tears, complete with live musical accompaniment by members of the band
Radio 4.
At 8 p.m. comes a screening of a new feature documentary,
Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison, directed by
Bestor Cram.
A live recreation of the entire
Live At Folsom Prison album follows at 9:30 p.m., performed by
The LIC Tennesee Three (
Anthony Rizzo,
Tim Luntzel &
Dave Berger), featuring guest vocals by
Jack Grace,
Lee Ann Westover,
Will Scott,
Silbin Sandovar,
Richard & Lesley Mazda,
Jeneen Terrana,

A country BBQ is available, including ribs, burgers, pulled pork sliders, corn on the cob and potato salad.
