ACE EditFest NY 2011 is taking place June 10 - 11, 2011 at Director’s Guild of America Theater in New York City.

The East Coast version of ACE’s popular EditFest LA series, EditFest NY features panels and Q&A sessions with top film and TV editors. This is an ideal event for  professional editors, production executives, network and studio staff, fledgling assistants and content creators, and film enthusiasts. 

Attendees will have the chance to mingle with, learn from and listen to the most respected and talented names in the industry, such as:

• Malcolm Jamieson (Down to the Bone, Mad Men)
• Craig McKay (The Conspirator, Philadelphia, Silence of the Lambs)
• Ken Schretzmann (Cars, Toy Story 3)
• Andrew Weisblum (Black Swan, The Wrestler)

Friday:

The Lean Forward Moment – Feature film editors discuss influential scenes from their favorite films. Moderated by Norman Hollyn (editor, author and head of USC Editing Track). Panelists are:

Editing Animation: Pixar – Toy Story 3 editor Ken Schretzmann, A.C.E., explains the Pixar process. Moderated by Bobbie O'Steen (author of The Invisible Cut and Cut to the Chase)

Greatest Movies You Never Saw – Moderated by Jeffrey Wolf, A.C.E.
Feature Editor Panel – Moderated by Vincent LoBrutto (author and Professor at SVA). Panelists are:
