In 2021 the prestigious Schomburg Center celebrates its 95th anniversary, and they kick off the year with the ninth annual Black Comic Book Festival. Running January 13 to 16, the event—this year reimagined as a digital gathering—brings together writers, illustrators, publishers, and readers of all ages. Events include a tribute to actor Chadwick Boseman, a workshop with illustrator Tim Fielder, the launch event of John Jennings's Megascope imprint, and more! 

Each year, the Schomburg Center’s Black Comic Book Festival brings creators, illustrators, writers, and independent publishers together with thousands of collectors, blerds, and nerds celebrating works by Black creators.
