The second annual NOFO Rock and Folk Fest takes place July 30 - 31, 2011 in the fields at Peconic Bay Winery in Cutchogue, Long Island, New York.
NOFO‛s emphasis is on supporting local musicians, as it also welcomes world-famous acts.
"What makes us so unique is we're the only festival that really embraces the essence of the East End, North and South Fork," says Josh Horton, the fest's co-producer.
"We're the only festival that . . . embraces great music along with showcasing and making available locally grown produce and other items that are specific to the East End."
This festival is also very family friendly.
"When we created this festival, we wanted it to be someplace that you would feel comfortable to bring children and walk around," says Jim Silver, the general manager of Peconic Bay Winery. "The grounds are very gorgeous, and it's wide open space, so they can have fun."
The festivities kick off Saturday morning with Fam Jam, featuring Grammy-nominee Brady Rymer & The Little Band That Could.
The rest of the lineup includes:
Saturday, July 30
Sunday, July 31
In addition to the Fam Jam, NoFo will have hula hooping, Frisbee and arts and crafts set up to keep kids entertained.
