Variety is hosting an online meeting of the minds with the Variety Virtual FYC Fest. Running December 15 - 17, the event includes speakers such as Billie Eilish, Bong Joon Ho, Lee Isaac Chung, Hans Zimmer among other show biz luminaries.
Hosted on a virtual platform, each conversation will be moderated by a Variety journalist. Each night, an FYC evening session will take place featuring the year’s contenders in the Adapted Screenplay, Original Screenplay and Animation categories.

The New York International Auto Show has announced that it’s 2021 installment shall be held August 20 to 29th. Mark Scheinberg, President of the New York Auto Show, has stated that the change in date “...is not only the responsible thing to do, but it puts us in a unique position to occupy the expanded Javits Center with an additional 100,000 sq. ft. of new exhibit space on the main floor and much more.” The extensive Javits Center expansion plans include a 53,000 square-foot special event space that will accommodate up to 5,000 guests, a 480,000 square-foot, 4-level marshaling facility, 27 new loading docks, 107,000 sq. ft. of new meeting room space, 113,000 sq. ft. of pre-function space, a rooftop pavilion accommodating 1,500 guests and a one-acre rooftop farm. No other details regarding the possibility of online programming have been released.
