Just like the spring breeze and phalanxes of joggers, the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) returns to the Jacob Javits Center (655 West 34th Street) on April 6th - 15th, 2012. A New York staple for over 100 years, the NYIAS will feature World and New York premieres from top car manufacturers, along with cutting edge, and sometimes bizarre, concept cars.
"Attracting over one million visitors a year, the New York Auto Show is one of the most important automobile consumer events in the world," said Show Chairman John LaSorsa.
Opening March 29-April 1 2012 at the Grand Palais (Paris, France), the Art Paris Art Fair 2012 is set to display art works of 120 international galleries from 16 different countries. Come and explore some of the most renowned art forms worldwide in the heart of the romantic city. This year’s theme will be sightings in Europe with the incorporation of European history and the influence of the arts. Furthermore, attendees will be able to experience some of the flourishing regions in Marseille to Helsinki, Cologne to Lisbon, Zagreb to Vienna and Budapest. Debuting in accordance will be a new segment, ‘Limited Edition’ composed of six unique art galleries: Patrick Brillet, Pierre Alain Challier, Domeau & Pérès, Galerie Matignon, Slott Galerie and White Moon Gallery presenting contemporary and modern designs, alongside ‘Large Format’ established to illustrate monumental exhibits.

The fair will introduce a series of talks as well as a programme of visits under the headline 'Springtime in Paris' targeting collectors and institutions. The objective is to provide guests with privileged access to the wealth artistic and cultural events taking place in the City of Lights this spring.

Fans are getting pumped up for a weekend full of anime, games, comics, tv/movies with Wizard World Toronto Comic Con at the Metro Toronto Convention Center (MTCC) Saturday (10am-7pm) through Sunday (11am-6pm), April 14 - 15 2012.

Varieties of Biography is an all-day conference presented by the Leon Levy Center for Biography at the CUNY Graduate Center on March 29, 2012.

Lectures and panel discussions will cover topics ranging from ancient biography to the uses of biography in contemporary fiction.
